Frank Lloyd Wright’s words capture the essence of the kind of designer I aspire to be: a landscape architect who embraces her beliefs and dreams about the world, such that my endeavors will lift the spirit of humankind to reconnect us with the natural environment. Having lived in Casablanca, Morocco as a child, as well as having traveled extensively, my worldview is a universal one. My experiences and exposures to different cultures, cities, and landscapes have helped me gain an intense appreciation for cultural uniqueness and the natural surrounding from which culture is often derived. I believe that thoughtful architecture and design can and must provide this vital service. With the appropriate planning and design, I believe it is possible to create architecture that supports cultural heritage, reflects natural surroundings and hence nourishes human life and our planet.
